Sunlight Nursery

The purpose of the Nursery at Sunlight is to provide loving care for our youngest church attendees. It is a blessing to be able to minister to your child in the Nursery.

During the church hour, we teach a simple curriculum with the toddlers. They will be taught the very foundations of faith: that God made them, God made their world, that God loves them. They will also learn some very basic Bible stories.

Check-In

Check-in occurs at the Nursery check-in station directly outside of the Nursery doors. Upon check-in, your child will receive a tag. The larger sticky backed side must be marked with your child’s name, age, parent’s names, pager number and any special concerns or needs that your child may have. This goes on their back. There is a smaller tag for a diaper bag. Please be sure your child’s name is written on the bag tag and attach it to your child’s diaper bag. You will take the non-sticky side of the tag with you. Keep this tag because you will need to present it to the Nursery attendant at the end of the service.

Once you have signed your child in, proceed to either the Infant or Toddler door. Hand your child’s bag to the attendant and then lift your child over the door. We DO NOT want to open the doors to the Nursery so that we are sure to keep all of our little ones safely within the Nursery.

Pagers

We will page you if your child has been crying for 10-15 minutes. Please keep your pager on you. You will need to keep it in a place where you will feel it vibrate.

Check-Out

After the service, return your pager to the check-in station. Present the tag with your number on it to the Nursery attendant. The Nursery attendant will match up the numbers. NO child will be released to anyone but the bearer of that number.

Parents ARE NOT allowed to enter the Nursery after the service to retrieve their children. This is to make sure that they are all kept safely within the Nursery. The Nursery attendant will lift your child over the door to you as well as their belongings.
